When we’re *all* building with AI how will employers/potential clients know (at first glance) who is a seasoned developer and who is just a vibe-coder who prompts until their fingers are numb?
Quite simply. As a developer, I wonder why this function call is declared “private.” The problem is that the client doesn’t know the right answer. Perhaps we should consider creating a structure dedicated to managing the relationship between clients and developers.
A developer knows the answer, the client doesn’t care. A vibe-coder lets the AI get on with deciding and doesn’t think about it (because they don’t know any different). What would a client-developer structured relationship look like? Also my initial thought was about how the two make ‘first contact’ when the client can only see people building and can’t differentiate experience levels well.
