Semver needs to die. Especially for young software and with AI this doesn't make sense anymore. I can't even remember when I released my latest patch release.

I think Semver has a place for an app with a public facing API as breaking changes can cause chaos. If your app isn't consumed by another app I think CalVer is the better method.
Thank you for your input! I think my thing is something in between. I maintain a self-hostable tool. Something like n8n or coolify. But I guess I can compare it a little bit with Ubuntu and they use also calver.
