Looks like you put a lot of work into this one! Maybe I'm missing something, but if things are deployed to _my_ server, this is mostly just a CI/CD system with some nice rollback capabilities, and not really a "platform" in the traditional sense?
Yeah, you could build all of this yourself with CI/CD. A pipeline, some setup scripts, a cron job for backups. ox is basically that, already written, so you’re not the one babysitting it. Where it differs from a pipeline is that it doesn’t leave after the deploy. A small agent stays on your server, runs the daily backups and knows what’s live. If a release goes bad, you roll back or restore from the dashboard instead of digging through old builds. DX is much better with ox. I have ADHD, so I built it to need as few decisions as possible. You push, and ox handles the rest. also, I just chose not to sell the server too. Bring any VPS you want. Your app runs as plain systemd services with its own Postgres, and your code and data stay on your box, not ours.
