It depends on how many users you're serving. I host loads on Hetzner too, but for low usage things, Cloudflare Durable Objects is pretty insane. Designing an app for write heavy usage requires some serious optimisations though, because the pay per read/write to d1/sqlite/r2 can become pricey if not optimized.
