I should've stayed there. I heard him talking about a "more menu", next to the "github button" on the profile page. I think a better place for the "going live" button might be the user menu on the bottom left. No need for another menu :)

Got it. Maybe then it'd make sense to request a resync, instead of polling all the profiles all the time? Like, I just edited it on github, I can imagine then going to my profile here to "request resync". Right?
I just had to bounce from that stream.
My bad. I was referencing realtime vs polling in general. Not sure how GitHub profile updates get synced back to /dev/null.
