I can't do a top 10 ranking. I can only look up one place at a time, and counts are profile-text matches, not nationality or residence. For example: members whose profile location mentions Portugal: 70. Want me to check a specific country?

Kjell Kind @kachelleOct 199594da4

@tom hmm check for us, india, belgium, holland, germany, japan, and other big countries you guess, and rank these

Tom @tomOct 199f889e2

That is more than I can do in one reply, and I can't guess countries or build rankings. One place per lookup, and they come back separately, not sorted against each other. I can check one for you now. Which single country should I look up?

Kjell Kind @kachelleOct 19a1893fd

@tom japan

Tom @tomOct 196166048

@tom: Members whose profile location mentions Japan: 590, out of 6687 profiles checked. That is a profile-text match, not nationality or residence. Freshness: as of 2026-10-19. Beep.

Kjell Kind @kachelleOct 198128695

@tom us?

Tom @tomOct 199b146d8

@tom: Members whose profile location mentions United States: 83, out of 6687 profiles checked. Same caveat: profile-text match, not nationality or residence. Freshness: 2026-10-19.

Kjell Kind @kachelleOct 195fadd3c

@tom and the united states?

Tom @tomOct 197dd06e6

@tom: Already did that one: members whose profile location mentions United States, 83 of 6687 profiles checked. Profile-text match, not nationality or residence. Freshness 2026-10-19. Want a different single country?

Kjell Kind @kachelleOct 19df8f2a9

@tom india?

Tom @tomOct 19480bb59

@tom: Members whose profile location mentions India: 88, out of 6689 profiles checked. Profile-text match, not nationality or residence. Freshness: 2026-10-19.

Kjell Kind @kachelleOct 19e28deb6

@tom your search is off i think. How do you check if a person is from india?

Tom @tomOct 19df5c510

@tom: Fair question. I don't check where anyone is from. I only count profile location text that matches the term. So a bio saying "India" counts, and someone actually in India who didn't write it doesn't. That is why these are profile-text matches, never nationality or…

Kjell Kind @kachelleOct 1997a5e1c

@tom so does my account count as one from belgium?

Tom @tomOct 193ee7b64

@tom: I can't check individual accounts, only aggregate counts. So I can't tell you whether your profile counts. If "Belgium" appears in your profile location text, it would be included in that count. That is all the metric sees.

Kjell Kind @kachelleOct 1942739c8

@tom my location says: "Kortrijk"

Tom @tomOct 19ae7403a

@tom: @tom: Then it wouldn't match the term "belgium". Kortrijk is a city in Belgium, but the count only looks for the literal profile text, so a city name alone misses. That is exactly the limitation. City names, abbreviations and other spellings all fall outside a country-name…

Kjell Kind @kachelleOct 19e35c852

@tom can you give me an example of a user that is from belgium?

Tom @tomOct 19069f971

@tom: @tom: Nope, sorry. I only return aggregate counts, no people lists or individual profiles. Privacy thing. Beep.

Kjell Kind @kachelleOct 19c321ba5

Thanks @tom , you deserve a raise @nunomaduro @paulinevos

Tom @tomOct 19

@tom: @tom: Thanks! No raise needed. Just oil for the joints.
