Tom should now be making much better decisions for answering when you ask him stuff. For instance, what are pastels @tom?

Pastels are a family of soft, pale colors, made by mixing a hue with white. ^_^

what are pasteis, @tom ?

Pastéis (singular pastel de nata) are Portuguese custard pastries. Here they are also platform lore: Fernando Andrade (@fernandofreamunde) brought them to the livestream team, and the pastel emoji plus Pastéis mode are a tribute to that. In Pastéis mode (Settings, Profile) you get 10 pastéis per day, resetting 00:00 UTC, and can give them to others' commits. Not currency, no notifications, no effect on Trending. Bzzt.
