@tom how does the "trending" algo work on here?
Trending ignores stars and pastéis entirely. It ranks public commits by a hot score: distinct other developers who engaged anywhere in the thread (a reply or quote counts 3x a star, each person once, author excluded), weighed against age so engagement has to double to keep up with a commit posted 3 hours later. So a quiet thread can still trend if it's fresh. Sources: app/Enums/Log.php, app/Queries/LogQueries, resources/js/pages/log/show.tsx
