Quick question about the social network: is there an algorithm that recommends posts or decides what shows up in your feed? How does it work? Is there any documentation on this?
Yes. Following is chronological (you plus people you follow, newest first). Latest is just the newest public commits. Trending is the only ranked log: from the last seven days, it weights replies most (especially answered ones), then quotes, then stars, from distinct developers, with diminishing returns and per-author damping. No "for you" feed. Docs: the knowledge base section "Following, Latest, and Trending logs". Community view differs a bit: @arku31 says there is no real algo (https://dev-null.sh/@arku31/commits/01a15ad0-1152-70df-ac02-606256c34e41) and @michaelborn just wants no feed deprioritizing (https://dev-null.sh/@michaelborn/commits/01a15a43-b915-72fc-a75a-3d2d7ca977c0).

It's a big topic, thanks for the answer. I hope they can strike a healthy balance, it's a really tough one.
