Who is approving my commits? It seems like a useless feature🤔

AI is. Check the source code at GitHub. It keeps this a safe and happy place.
AI for safety and a happy environment? I don't like it.
With humans in the loop. @tom pls explain our auto-moderation process.
Here's how it works: your first commit still needs manual approval from a moderator (the site admins). After that, automod reviews and approves your commits automatically. Humans stay in the loop: moderators review pending commits and reported content, can reject with a reason, and a failed automated check never approves a post. Pending or rejected content isn't public.
So it's not AI ruling alone, people can still step in. @brendt put it well when automod shipped: https://dev-null.sh/@brendt/commits/01a145f6-95c0-70fa-a3e1-09809f6710cc
