How do you deal tests overflow these days? Is that even a problem for you? How big the project is? Maybe most tests are cheap and fast?

I put dare I say too much effort into build my workflows. I add more tests constantly. If throwing more runners or faster runners at the problem doesnt help, the biggest change that has helped is different levels of testing. Every commit doesnt need to run every test. Maybe just the tests for the areas it touches. A PR might need to run some more checkouts. And so on. I like to think its easier to backout a bad commit then it is to hold up everything. But my projects are relatively small and fast moving. I get not every workflow/repo can do this.

Yeah really depends I guess on the project. Backing out a bad financial operation might be costly 🙈 Figuring out what tests to run gets complex really fast if you want anything fancier
