Having a good friend laid off just sucks. Can't really do much except try to find a possibly fitting job and "network" a bit.
Trying out /dev/null/ from the iOS app. It is really well implemented. Need to take nativephp for a spin
A year ago, my biggest issue was that I felt burned out by the stuff I was doing. Nowadays, it's life in general that is making me feel burned out, while work switches from calm to stressful for no apparent reason.
Do people not have much going on in their private lives these…

When I started learning PHP almost 16 years ago, I learned from the community without interacting much. Fast forward, the community has always been the thing that made me feel like I belonged somewhere.
This definitely is a prime example.
A while back, I deployed a SaaS application that I haven't shared as publicly as I want to but I notice I'm afraid for huge amounts of negative feedback. How would y'all go about it?
If I only shared things that’d get positive feedback, I’d be sharing nothing. Just ship it 🚀
Just ship it - you will see very quick which feedback is ill-intended/trolling/dunking whatever and which is well-meant (aka constructive feedback). Learn to ignore the first category and humbly accept the other.
Just do it.
Feedback is immensely valuable. Your product can never evolve and improve if you keep it shelved. We as devs often tend to have an amount of tunnel vision. Feedback helps you to snap out of it.
And also, what Pauline said.

Working on this. Seeing if I can make a minimal implementation that doesn't require 80+ file changes.

Hi @simonhamp i was wondering if you know if anyone is working on a dev/null iOS app.
Who's this "Simon Hamp" guy
side note, I was thoroughly confused for a while by the early presence of both @simonhampel and @simonhamp on this platform
Yep currently in the works. Hopefully a testflight this evening or morning for you since you are on the moon side of earth right now
Incase you want to make a cli script for yourself or use the one I made be sure to check out https://github.com/wotta/devnull-cli 🔥

Made an alias that allows me to simply drag and drop the image in and write a post, as remembering commands is annoying.
Not even sure what to write about. But one thing is for sure, sending this from the terminal is just perfect for when I have random thoughts and don\t really want to switch apps.
