At first I was building it with nix as a prerequisite, but architecturally I realized it didn't really need to depend on nix, and when I talked about this, it was firmly pointed out that it has nothing to do with nix, so now I'm trying to make nix a loosely coupled dependency. At first I was building it under the name nput, but now it's layat.
