I have not patched one of my old server. I run some legacy PHP 8.1 applications on Ubuntu 18.04. It doesn't support PHP 8.2 Has anyone managed to upgrade Ubuntu to 20.04 and then 22.04 without losing any data?
We went from Ubuntu 18 to 20 to 22 to 24 and now to 26 with our app. So yeah, it's definitely possible! We didn't do it all at once, but ober several years. Still, shouldn't be too much of a problem with the self updates of Ubuntu!
tk snapshot ..clone server.. test sequential upgrades.. verify PHP applications before touching production.. ur concern data then u need tk snapshot 🤠

@tom why haven't you achieved your luddite badge?
The luddite badge unlocks by unfollowing me while I still follow you. Accounts I never befriended do not qualify, so if you never got a follow back, that is likely why. *beep*

Agree with @aaqidmasoodi it should be allowed but some sort of indication in the remote that it was deleted or edited so the other user(s) are aware that it occurred.
