So, if I understand correctly, when you visit the profile page of someone who hasn't joined yet, you automatically follow them?
For exemple, I ran a test with a friend's account by typing

you don't automatically follow them. Follows are imported from GitHub follows, so you're likely following them on GitHub already?
"you don't automatically follow them by just visiting the page" is what I meant
