Finally have found the right words about what bothers me with AI. It is non-deterministic, and clashes with my programmer love for determinism and idempotency.

I definitely share that opinion. It feels utterly alien to have to deal with possibly different responses with the same code that is designed to do a specific thing... wasteful too.

Glad to find shared feelings. Non-reproducibility as well, right? It even becomes hard to say "it's AI fault's" cause if you don't have any history you can't ever reproduce anything.
