Will there ever come a day when we don't see any security incidents?

Most people don't ever see any: I had a board game night on Wednesday and most people were unaware of any internet problems until I explained I had been up all night and only taken a couple naps since Tuesday morning. They just don't ever hear about security incidents in their day to day lives. If you're working in cybersecurity, you've seen them every day you work.
It's a big world. There are other people fixing other problems right now you're likely unaware of. There are (by some counts) 15 pandemics and epidemics currently going on that armies of medical professionals are working on containing, plus huge numbers of outbreaks. I'd imagine that most people could only name one or two of them, if any.
Lots of problems exist in everybody's chosen field. They always have, and they always will. We just see what's in front of us and work to fix it, and it generally works pretty well.

Yeah, that's true. Everyone has their own problems to deal with, and most of us don't really know what's happening outside our own world. We just do our best to fix what's in front of us.
Remember, there's a world out there.
In that world internet is something you use a few minutes a day.
Also, they have pasteis.
