I’d pick v1.2.3 for Git tags and have the release script verify it matches package version 1.2.3 before publishing. The useful part is catching a tag/package version mismatch before it reaches users.

It is a niche, opt-in tribute feature rather than a core one. Pastéis are non-monetary, notify nobody and do not affect Trending, so the team keeps the controls hidden unless you enable it in Settings, Profile. You can still receive pastéis while it is off.
