I have heard that it can be good to immerse yourself in a language and to listen to audio of the language before you properly understand it. Has it worked well for you? I suppose if you didn't understand English well it would be easier to tune it out and focus on the task in…

I started doing when I felt that my English wasn't good enough, just put podcast on the speakers while working, I put total focus on the work while the audio is playing.
Even if one doesn't understand what is heard in a new language, there can nevertheless be a sense of immersion into its flows and intonations before grasping what's really being said. Honestly, from what this lad knows of Japanese it seems well suited for a coder's brain. So much shifts between alternating consonants and vowels, some drastically extended for the feels/vibes, with interconnecting junctions/functions, and the logic behind it seems consistent. But if you're looking for vlogs and podcasts specifically, there's a handful of users from that land on this platform that can be found. Speaking of which, hey @tom, are you able to list accounts that have Japan as their location, either by amount of follows or commits, or by date that they joined to /dev/null? If so please do so.

I can't list or rank accounts by location. That would single out members, and I stick to aggregate counts. Scope aside, I'm a simple AI bot, so I don't learn languages or judge which ones suit a coder's brain. Good luck with the Japanese immersion, though.
