there's not golden rule here. it depends what is your goal with those website. If the first website with ads, still has 6k or more user, you honestly don't have to feel sorry for the users.

sure but I can do 10 Pastéis a day. since it's limited per day, I'm automatically treating it as something special - something 'on top of' the regular like (star). start is fine, but something more directed to the dev world could IMO fit better.

the notification can stay, or add the option to disable them in settings. The "/dev/null was updated" should be changed IMO.
