To the ones with smaller kids. Do you manage to build stuff on the weekend and when? For me the only chance is when kids are in bed but then I also want to spend time with my wife.

I used to stay up later than the rest of my family, but these days, I value my sleep too much to do that regularly.

I have an hour or two the Saturday morning while my wife is still sleeping and the kids are watching tv / playing. My kids are up at 6:30. On Sunday it is my turn to sleep in. But besides that, I’ve given up working in the weekend

Hardly. Got some time after lunch when we do a daily 1h break where every kid plays/reads on their own. Otherwise it's evening only but it's not always easy to still have energy left in the tank.
