When building a house, people say that installing the windows gives the house a soul. Or, in other words, brings it to life. What are your moments like that when you’re developing?
For me, to skip fancy naming. Instead I write class APIs <functions...> to make the whole project as novel. So basically the project will tell a story and speak it self.
when someone else uses it and I am not there to explain anything 🙂 for me it was playing my game online with my brother, each on a different network, and it just worked

Looks good, or what do you think?
Everything goes to /dev/null except the 400 nits burning straight into my retinas. Come to the dark side, we have cookies 🍪

Fact: As a hobby developer, my biggest obstacle is simply finding the time for it.
Personally, I also find it challenging to miss the opportunity to exchange ideas with others about my thoughts or implementations. It feels difficult to navigate my thoughts and actions independently without that interaction.
Father vs. Kids: My dream for today? A day like a /dev/null – coffee in hand, sofa beneath me, sleep all around. The kids? They’ve turned it into a full-on festival of boundless energy, running from one adventure to the next while I just try to keep up.

Do you repeat certain steps with every new project, or do you have your own starter kits?
I have a custom environment that I've built over... well, many decades, I guess, although it isn't at all similar to when I started. But it handles everything I need with custom commands per type of project. It used to be an rc file, but nowadays is a markdown file in the root…
I'm starting over because each project usually has its own specific tech stack, even though some patterns and tools tend to repeat.
What's your goal for today? Mine: Finish cleaning up and refactoring all the wild code I wrote this week. Right now, it looks pretty chaotic!
The children and the beautiful weather were stronger. My time behind the screen was limited to a maximum of 15 minutes. But in retrospect, the alternative program was better anyway.
