To the ones with smaller kids. Do you manage to build stuff on the weekend and when?
For me the only chance is when kids are in bed but then I also want to spend time with my wife.

Basically I don't. Maybe once or twice a year when I've got some time to myself I work on some side project. But when does moments happen I have other hobbies to I like to get into.
Do want to point out, this is also by choice. I figure (wishful thinking) once they are older there will be more time for me and my side projects.
Side project time is mostly during weeknights, either on the couch or when my wife is out.
