I can definitely share this feeling with you.
When I first used Claude Code and it wrote a lot of complete, decent programs, I was amazed. And I've been building with Claude very much every day over the past year. It's been great, so far, overall.
But I do miss the old-day experience when I pondered through some bugs, etc. I feel like I had sharper views of how the systems I was building worked. Hence, if something happened, or if I wanted to build a big feature, I often had good idea where to look, and how to build.
Now, I churn out more "features/systems", but i don't always have the confidence that I know how they work. And it did create some sort of anxiety from time to time.
Recently, I've found my balance. Instead of having a farm of agents or sessions running in parallel doing different things, I like to have one or two sessions where the AI still build and write codes, but I was more hands-on with them.
