Working on a project where AGENTS.md had reached 87KB, loaded in full every session. Now it's 10KB. I moved the instructions into small topic files and indexed them in the parent file, so each task reads only what it needs.

/usage by claude is really helpful. In the end, it highlights where we are spending more tokens and tips on how we can optimize it.
