Controlled or moderated?
What are you concerned about?

๐๐ผ I've been wondering a bunch about the same thing.
Moderation is tricky and can be done in very different ways.
The question for which I haven't received any answer is: what's the objective for the community? What type of ppl do they want here?
I think we're wondering about pretty much the same thing! ๐
I wasn't really concerned about strict control or censorship. I was just curious about what kind of community they're trying to build.
The Git-inspired design is fascinating, but I'm also interested in the vision behind it. Is it meant to be a place for technical discussions, or more of a social space for people in tech?
As you said, I think that would make a big difference in how moderation should work.
