I had some follow-up thoughts when someone asked a question during a livestream: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OCpPbcdQG3E

I really love this. Can't agree more. I've said in the past that I feel so privileged to have learned my craft before AI was around. Those hours reading forums, stack overflow, putting
var_dump('wtf '.$x++); after every single line... were all worth it. Almost like a self-inflicted apprenticeship. :D
I've seen first hand work experience students spending a week at the company before and after AI has been an option and the results are interesting. I genuinely feel like the students without AI learned more, but the ones with did produce something more tangible (even if it was spaghetti of unknown origin). So it's a real balancing act.
I imagine that learning these days, with the lure of AI, is really, really difficult. It makes me think there might be value in some experienced heads getting together and producing a set of guidelines and/or MCP server that a beginner can utilise while learning/creating to help not accidentally cut too many corners.
Ultimately, @nunomaduro said it really well in past YouTube videos - whatever an AI agent produces, you must read and understand every single line of it. Such good advice.commit c6d1366
