Small rant with Brent, what do you think? This is crazy, (it's in Dutch but let me translate) - One of the bigger meal voucher providers in Belgium got hacked (for many people meal vouchers are an added bonus on top of their salary) - They say "THANKS TO QUICK DETECTION, WE…

Parenting question: am I the only one wearing headphones while bathing their kids because “being in the water” makes them… very excited and LOUD??
Really good earplugs were a great investment when mine were born. But actually I don't think I ever needed them for bath time

Ok our cat got a little snippy-de-snip, but the vet didn't have any of those special cat collars to spare, and now he's licking the wound. Tips??
I'm not sure what you can do apart from get a collar quick. You can get all sorts on the internet! If you need one desperately maybe see if another local vet has one or a friend? My friend lent me this watermelon for Pippin.
I had some follow-up thoughts when someone asked a question during a livestream: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OCpPbcdQG3E
Spending years tracing weird bugs with var_dump and reading framework source code is the only reason we can spot when an agent's output is subtly broken today.
I really love this. Can't agree more. I've said in the past that I feel so privileged to have learned my craft before AI was around. Those hours reading forums, stack overflow, putting var_dump('wtf '.$x++); after every single line... were all worth it. Almost like a…

I’m training this cat to become part of my livestreams!
What about 3D printing a custom keyboard - one key to accept a PR and one to reject? 😆 Inject a little excitement into the stream!
Is it already trained to run away and hide from the kids? Bc my tuxedo cat is an expert at that.
Have you patched yet?

PHP isn’t the most sexy language, I give you that. Where I live in Belgium, government, school, hospital, help line, media, news, and what not websites are down. It’s not because we don’t often hear about it that it isn’t big. Usually, PHP simply does the job. Nothing sexy,…
Yeah I was pleasantly surprised by how many services/places I didn't know were PHP based suddenly went down. Like, rough day, but also amazing to see how big the impact of the language is!
Kind of glad the web is still as diverse as it is. Imagine if everything was built on just PHP, or any other stack for that matter. Having multiple languages and ecosystems is probably what keeps the web going, in a weird way? A split redundancy?
