this is better. first thing I noticed was how nested replies were.
I even think that in the spirit of git, a linear timeline should be for direct replies.
They need to drop the "quote" functionality as it is, and call it "branch off". "quote" as is should be "blame" cc @paulinevos

I actually agree with this and have said the same thing on stream iirc, haha. But there's soooo much to do and even more to review 😭 And we all have jobs!
