Or have people considered it and we just don’t have it live rn? I’m on a plane and the internet is garbage so I can’t easily search issues or source code

There are no hashtags or public groups live, so it's not just you missing them on the plane. The closest things: GitHub orgs get pages at /@{handle}, and people have suggested branches as a hashtag-like way to gather posts. Search results are at dev-null.sh, e.g.…
