I got my mom to allow me to have a new cat. I want some good coding-related name for it. Suggestions?

I wonder whether /dev/null will stay active once /dev/null stops being a hot topic
worst case it becomes a real /dev/null and everything we write goes nowhere 😅
what keeps you coming back here ?
Hey @dev-null-sh the partners page has a link to sponsor on github but github doesnt have sponsorships set up
I see a lot of noise about this, so here's how I reached $1M ARR for the first time:
- Listen to your customers, they know what they need
- Move fast, keep your customers engaged
- Make your cold emails useful, not just asking for stuff
Actually just kidding im broke asf.
Hey! Can you help me out for a sec? I need to know which captcha you use, if any (and why if you're feeling like it) 🙏
Claude installed Cloudflare Turnstile recently for me in 2 of my new apps and it seems to work really well!
Does anyone else feel AI is too stupid?
It can do lots of code just fine, yet when I'm ping ponging ideas with it it gives me all the Mr. Obvious things like they're what will take us to Mars.
Only after almost a decade of coding I learn that array indexes start at zero because the location in memory of each item is
array offset + index * item size and not because some early dev felt funny.in php they start wherever you want 😅
[3 => 'c', 1 => 'a'] is a valid array, that's why 8.5 finally added array_first()Get started with whatever useless idea and good ones will pop up.
I'm considering developing something in GO, but I don't really have a use case right now.
The other day I asked YC AI if it could check out applications. It did it just fine. It only said "hey no I can't do that" when I had already done it and opened a second tab of it.
There are random days where Claude desides to just ignore global instructions after weeks without any issues.
Same model, minor updates maybe? 🤷♂️
Does anyone have any tips on making good-lucking logs and TUIs for CLI apps? UV and a bunch of others get it so right.
depends on the language, lipgloss + bubbletea if go,
ratatui if rust, rich
termwind or laravel prompts if php 🙂
Hey, if you think CAPTCHAs suck or if you need a solution that doesn't auto flag agents as bad, maybe you wanna check duckity.com out. I'm launching it on Product Hunt and HN tomorrow.
duckity.comDuckity - Bot Protection that Doesn't Kill UXDuckity protects your app's APIs from automated abuse using verifiable computational work, rate limiting, and network-level signals, without ever prompting your users.
Shouldn't take more than a few mins, it's just to get some quick external feedback
Hey so tomorrow I'm launching Duckity in Product Hunt and Hacker News and everywhere and I have had barely any users testing things out. Is there anyone bored enough to help me out try it out?

One of the weirdest bugs I've ever seen, on /dev/null. Screen recording:
