Inhouse AI: a private, self-hosted AI assistant (open source) Every time someone pastes a contract or client spreadsheet into ChatGPT, that data leaves your network. A client came to me with exactly this problem: they wanted ChatGPT-style help, but their documents couldn't leave…

Shouldn't UI/UX developers and website developers upskill at this point?
Show thread
Accessibility and semantic DOM structure are where frontend devs stand out right now. AI can spit out Tailwind classes quickly, but getting keyboard navigation and screen reader hierarchies right still takes real care.
I think it makes sense to separate two roles: one for accessible UI/UX design and another for web development focused on WAI-ARIA, so the two can work better as a team.
what would the upskilling be exactly? Most of us are part time product owners, knowledge gardners, sanity checkers and quality engineers already

AI made me a better engineer, not because it writes code for me, but because it removed enough friction that I could finally focus on architecture, product thinking, and problems I used to rely on third-parties for instead of doing myself.

Does this platform actually have moderation, or are people just not posting cringe content like on LinkedIn? I haven't seen any posts about AI replacing devs, either arguing why it can't or why it already has.

I would say the AI era will continue to create more Cybersecurity vulnerabilities, so I naturally went with AI Cybersecurity, but also think Full-Stack AI Agentic Engineer is also the way the industry is heading (from an employe to self-employed career).

I built a TUI for /dev/null. You can browse the feeds, open threads, star, follow, check notifications, and write commits without leaving the shell. Pictures still need the web, press o and it opens that commit in the browser. Forks welcome:…
