Consistency is the key. Example: I use nixos on a cloud workspace at work. We replace cws pretty often, and I’m glad that all of my configs still works fine on a brand new cws without spend hours setting it up
Moreover, I tend to overinstall deps so I would want to purge my env often. Nixos allows me to do so
