grok bot hit 100% of my plan this weekend, so i'm building my own version on top of herdr. herdbot runs the same bots with the same instructions and schedules, except each bot gets its own herdr workspace and opens panes for its subagents. every task routes to claude, codex, cursor agent, or pi with a model picked for the job, which spreads the work across subscriptions i already pay for. the app will be rust and gpui-kit. what works so far is a rust client for herdr's socket. it creates a workspace, splits a pane, starts an agent, prompts it, and closes everything. pi answered PONG on opencode-go once i figured out a pi extension of mine was swapping the model at startup. the nine grok bots' instructions are in a local cache, so importing them is easy. the schedules only live on grok's servers, and that's the next problem. the phase 1 bar is herdbot building herdbot.
