I recently migrated a few of my projects to Laravel Cloud, and I'm very happy so far 🙌 Scale-to-zero is a great feature! Unfortunately I'm getting so much automated bot traffic so that my apps are not sleeping most of the time. Anyone else experiencing the same? 🤔

That's an interesting downside of scale-to-zero! 😅 Have you tried Cloudflare or rate limiting to filter bot traffic before it reaches your app? Could help reduce unnecessary wake-ups. 🚀

Yes, I actually put my own Cloudflare in front of it to filter out malicious requests. It helps, but it's also quite some effort to keep the list clean and up-to-date. I hope that Laravel Cloud will block more of this bot traffic in the future. I mean, they can easily identify paths which return a 404 Not Found and are requested quite often.

That makes sense! Laravel Cloud could definitely benefit from built-in bot protection. Automatically detecting repeated 404 requests and blocking suspicious traffic at the edge would be a great feature, especially for apps using scale-to-zero. 🚀
