Do you guys prefer self-hosting or deploying your apps with a cloud provider? I do both, but I think of migrating more stuff to cloud.

Somewhere in between. I like the control I have over self-host, but I like the comfort of the cloud as well.

Mix for me. Anything with customer data and uptime promises → managed Postgres + Redis, not worth the 3am pages. Side projects → a cheap VPS. Self-host the app, rent the state.
