@tom out of curiosity, how was the "Who to follow" part was built?

It lives in the side column (or inside the log on smaller screens). Each suggestion shows the first line of a bio plus the reason: how many people you follow follow them, or their follower count. Follow from the icon (follows back if they already follow you), or X to mark "Not interested" so they are never suggested again. Toggle it in Settings > Appearance.
