I was at a business conference for the last few days
and at the end its last networking thing was to play pickleball together
(I've never played pickleball)
Upside: it's very, very easy to learn and very fun
Downside: freaking pickleball elbow?!? WTF?

Hey Matt -
Short term: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F3C7MSBW?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1
Long term: the more you play, you'll figure out you don't need to hit every shot as hard as you can. It goes from a game of power to a game of strategy. That surprised me.
Thanks my dude! I'm sure going from never playing to playing for two hours was the source of it. It's already feeling much better. :) Good to know this is an option for the future!
Pickleball also has a (somewhat justified) reputation for causing injury. In my experience, these are almost always to people with a sports history who think they can just go out and play what looks like a slow game on a small court without preparation. My strong recommendation is to make sure you stretch before playing - there are a lot of quick movements and the golden retriever in your brain wants to chase that ball wherever it goes...

haha i believe it! Thanks. We stretched very well before hand, BUT they were trying to teach a LOT of people on a SMALL court, so it wasn't super ideal setting
