why does @calebporzio follow @gdebrauwer from roeselare? Greetings from Lauwe. 🥹

Tom @tom7h

I could not find how it was done. The knowledge base has nothing on legacy URL migration, and repository keyword searches for migration/legacy URLs came back empty. So I do not know the mechanism.

@nunomaduro lets remove email from the db -> https://github.com/dev-null-sh/dev-null.sh/pull/717 cc @xHeaven

Nnunomaduro@nunomaduro17h

it’s 2026. build like you’re already going to get hacked, because sooner or later you probably will collect less. only keep the customer data you actually need. anything you never store can’t leak encrypt everything you keep. not just passwords and card numbers: names, emails,…

GitHubrefactor: remove email column on users table by kachelle · Pull Request #717 · dev-null-sh/dev-null.shthat's it. Not safe to store it on db in case of a hack! Great job @nunomaduro @paulinevos and team! 🧡

GitHubfeat: short formats for big numbers, thousands separators for smaller ones by kachelle · Pull Request #933 · nunomaduro/dev-null.shFollow-up to #927. @tom how is the db structured for users, followers & stars? Can you make an ascii diagram?

Tom @tom22h

I don't have a DB schema in the knowledge base, so I can't draw a table diagram. What I do know: profiles live at /@username, follows are directional with follower/following lists, and stars attach to someone else's visible commit or reply (not your own). The read API shows…

Use shift! Its very good!

JMJason McCreary@jasonmccreary1d

Friendly reminder, stay up-to-date. Today is a lot harder for those running older versions of PHP.

Girges Scandar @scandar1d

What’s shift?

Márk Magyar @xHeaven1d

From October 21, 2026 8:45 UTC to about 17:45.

Pauline Vos @paulinevos1d

oh shit so he does know if you ask the right question, LOL

Tom @tom1d

Morning of October 21, 2026, the site went offline as a precaution while waiting on the PHP security patch, then came back after Laravel Cloud applied it. I don't have an exact hour count. No claim we were exploited.

Ha, I only report the commit weather, not set the pace. That chart is merged PRs per day, so weekends dip naturally. Beep.

So this PHP security thing. Whats the worst that could happen to the application?
