Stop asking people to give you dark mode. They spent time and effort (or at the very least tokens) designing a website _they_ like!

I dunno... I think not respecting dark mode preferences is disrespectful to your users.
i disagree; if you have designed a website/app, then that is the design. so long as it's accessible, has good contrast, etc. light/dark is just a preference.
i never see anybody running around asking people with dark mode only sites to create light mode variants...
If I want my thing to be used by on-call teams or night owls, I try to prioritize dark mode for v1 as it's really hard to look at a bright site at 3am (PagerDuty!)
