Guys, I swear, today I really feel like AI is replacing me!!!! ππ
Weβre nowhere near replacement in my opinion, donβt worry. AI make things go faster, but you still hold the vision and ability to take informed critical decisions.

Sanctum if you just want keys. Itβs not hard to add passport later if you want to add oauth.
Iβm tired of managing api keys, so for my appsβ mcp servers, I use Laravel/mcp with oauth - which needs passport.
Always bet on standards. they might have a bit more overhead and learning curve at the beginning but eventually you'll be ready and rewarded when customer demands it or you need to interface yourself with other systems.
We use both together in the same application. Sanctum for our own first party SPAs and mobile apps (keeping things lightweight and secure), while also using Passport for full OAuth2 third-party developers and external integrations

is it okay to have old version ???
8.4 is fine, it's the .1 that's old :) 8.4.27 came out on oct 21 with security fixes, just keep local on the same version as prod

They are no longer supported, meaning no active work is being done on them, not even security fixes. You should always be on a version that has active / full support :)
I am wandering, before start writing code did you design the architecture firs ??
Yeah, sometimes - mostly to get a broad sense of how the application data is going to flow :)

I use Windows because I also need to use some Windows-only apps. I hate all the bloatware it has.

Developers, what do you think about using Docker in your projects? π³
- Do you use it in your daily workflow, and why?
Safety, compatibility between dev/stag/prod, and one most important for me personally - No need for time consuming env setup on work PC and laptops, no node, no php, no nothing running bare metal.
Development machine setup through ansible - fedora + docker + phpstorm, and someβ¦
